Godanti Bhasma is called “Godanti” because it looks like the teeth of a cow.  If we talk about the chemical organization of this ash then it is a form of gypsum which is a type of stone.

How Godant Bhasma Formed

  1. First Gypsum is purified.
  2. After this, Gypsum is ground to obtain a fine powder of it.
  3. Gypsum is infused with aloe vera juice.
  4. small cakes of this mixture are made and they are cooked at a high temperature of 200 to 500 ° C

Some older vaidyas use lemon juice or neem leaves instead of aloe vera juice. Godanti Bhasma which is made using Neem leaves is called Neem Godanti Bhasma. This bhasma is very beneficial in typhoid and chronic fever.

Chemical Formation of Godanti Bhasma

Godanti is soft calcium and sulfur mineral compound. Chemically, it is calcium sulfate dihydrate.

Godanti Bhasma Uses in Chronic Fever

In Ayurveda, Godanti Bhasma is used as an antipyretic drug. Godanti Bhasma acts like paracetamol and it cures fever immediately.

If a person has a headache with fever, then the use of Godanti Bhasma proves to be the best. It normalizes fever and headache within 30 minutes to 2 hours. Godanti Bhasma exerts its influence on the brain, lungs, and blood vessels.

If fever is due to any reason, in most cases Godanti Bhasma is used to reduce the body temperature. Godanti Bhasma is used with Mahasudarshan Churna or Mahasudarshan Ghan Vati to reduce fever temperature.

If fever is very high and the patient is restless, in such a situation, it can also be used with Praval Pishti for quick relief.

Godanti Bhasma Uses in Typhoid Fever

While in general fever Godanti Bhasma is used prepared with aloe vera. But to cure typhoid fever Neem Godanti Bhasma is used, which is very effective in this fever.

If the patient has very high fever, then other Ayurvedic medicines can be used along with Godanti Bhasma. In the case of typhoid, Godanti Bhasma can be given to the patient in this way.

500 mg Neem Godanti, 500 mg Praval Pishti, 1.5 gram Sitopaladi Churna and 250 mg Giloy Sat.

Make a dose by mixing these four and ask the patient to lick with honey. Consume this mixture two to three times a day gives great benefit in typhoid fever.

Godanti Bhasma benefits in Hypercalcium

Hypercalcemia is a condition in which there is a lot of calcium deficiency in our body. If we talk about the chemical organization of Godanti Bhasma then we know that Godanti Bhasma is a tonic rich in calcium.

If Godanti Bhasma is given to the patient in a certain proportion then it helps a lot in increasing the calcium level. Godanti Bhasma can be given as follows for this problem.

500 mg Godanti Bhasma, and 250 mg Muktushukti Pishti. This is the sum of one dose. Giving it for 8 to 10 days in the morning and evening gives great benefit.

Godanti Bhasma Uses in Headache

Godanti Bhasma is also very beneficial in headache. It cures migraine and normal pain. In this problem, this drug can be consumed in this way.

500 mg Godanti Bhasma, 500 mg Giloy Sat and 2 grams of Sugar Powder. This is the sum of one dose.

Taking this dose twice a day provides great relief in headaches. If the headache is very strong, then this prescription can also be taken three to four times a day.

Godanti Bhasma Uses in Leucorrhoea and Vaginal Edema

Leucorrhoea which is also known as likoria in general is a very bad disease. In this disease thick yellow liquid having a very bad smell comes from the vagina and the woman loses her beauty and health. Apart from this, it is also used in inflammation of the uterus and burning sensation in the vagina. Godanti Bhasma can be used in leucorrhoea and vaginal edema in this way.

500 mg Godanti Bhasma, 1 gram cumin powder, 500 mg Mazufal powder and 2 grams Supari Pak. This is the sum of one dose. Taking this mixture in the evening for 15 to 20 days gives very good results.

Godanti Bhasma Uses in Uterus Problems like excessive uterine bleeding

If there is too much bleeding from the uterus, then Godanti Bhasma can be used in this way.

500 milligrams of neem Godanti, 2 grams of gooseberry powder, 2 grams of isabgol husk. It is one dosage. Taking this dose in the morning and evening with fresh water for 15 to 20 days gives very good relief.

Godanti bhasma dosage varies from 125 mg to 1 gram depending on the health condition and age of the patient.

If Godanti Bhasma is used for a short duration of time like 3 to 4 weeks, then no side effects have been observed.

But if Godanti Bhasma is used for a long time then problems in the liver can arise. In any case, Godanti Bhasma should not be used for more than 1 month.
